Our next chance of rain across Mid-Michigan is Thursday afternoon and evening as a cold front moves south through the area bringing a chance of showers and thunderstorms. All in all, once we get past the last of the rain showers Monday it looks to be a nice start to the week! Thursday through Sunday Lows will stay in the low sixties which is just a few degrees above normal for late August. Temps will be around 78 on Monday and 81 on Tuesday, warming up to be around 85 by Wednesday. With normal highs around 80 this time of year, temperatures will be near to slightly above normal across Central Michigan. When you combine the dry weather with low humidity and light winds, it will be perfect weather for evening cookouts or bonfires Tuesday and Wednesday. Mostly sunny skies expected for Tuesday into Wednesday as high pressure moves into the Great Lakes with light winds out of the north and northwest expected. Showers will be scattered so most people will be dry. The only chance of rain expected for the first half of the week will be Monday as the low that brought rain to parts of Lower Michigan over the weekend.
